A fine quality 19th Century Antique Australian Bookcase, made by RT Carter of 404 George St, Sydney, in superb original condition. Made in Australian cedar and veneered in imported walnut. Featuring highly figured veneering to the inset panel doors and hand drawn glass to the upper section, with finely carved corbels. With all four original adjustable shelves. 19th century finish with good colour and patina.

Labeled to rear and also internally by the maker. It would have been one of the more expensive items of furniture made by Carter, who was at the time, one of Sydney's best cabinetmakers.
