Mid 19th Century Australian Cedar Miners Couch, by David MacKenzie of 317 Pitt Street, Sydney with label to rear. Recently re-upholstered in a maroon crushed velvet fabric, with very good 19th century finish, showing very good colour and patina.

This exact label is pictured on page 86 of "Australian Furniture, Pictorial History and Dictionary, 1788 - 1938" by Fahy and Simpson.
