Mid 19th Century Australian twin pedestal Desk or Map Table bearing 2 handwritten labels - "Devonport Yard March 1854 Manufactured at the Joiners Shop " initialled "R M" and bearing numerous broad arrow stamps to locks and drawer sides.
Tasmanian origin. Imported mahogany primary timber with baltic pine secondary timber.
Original finish with lovely colour and patina. Replacement black leather inset writing surface. All drawers work smoothly. All drawer runners have been repaired to our usual high standards.
