19th Century Australian Cedar Secretaire
** SOLD **
19th Century Australian Cedar Secretaire, with inset arched panel doors, flanked by bobbin turned columns. The secretaire section fitted with two small drawers and nine pigeonholes, with a dark green leather writing surface, also fitted with a pair of brass candle sconces.
Unusually, the secretaire is fixed in position with a sliding top and hinged front, all beautifully crossbanded. The fixed positioning of the secretaire makes this a very functional and useable small desk. Good 19th century finish.
