Mid 19th century Colonial Australian Cedar Chest of 7 Drawers made by Joseph Sly of Sydney, in wonderful original condition and bearing the impressed stamp of Joseph Sly to the rear and also on most drawer supports.
Full cedar construction, made from carefully selected early harvested dense cedar, with crossbanding to drawer surrounds, and standing on turned feet. It is rare to find a Sly chest in such original condition.
All drawers work smoothly. Drawer runners have been repaired to our usual high standards.
