Early 20th Century Australian Blackwood Monks Bench or Hall Seat, with lift up seat which opens for storage, very well carved in the Renaissance style which was popular at the Harvey School in Brisbane in the early 20th century. One arm is carved with the date 1907, the other with the letters MLC - possibly for Methodist Ladies' College.
