19th Century Australian Cedar Chest of Seven Drawers, comprising 2 deep drawers & two half drawers above 3 graduated full width drawers, resting on a plinth base. Smaller than the average seven drawer cedar chest. Has a very unusual inlaid motif in the centre of the top surface (see last picture). Could be an original decorative feature or it could possibly have been done to hide some past damage - hard to be sure - but it has been very well done.
Good 19th century finish with good colour and patina, pine secondary timber. All drawers work smoothly and all drawer runners have been repaired to our usual high standards. A lovely plain, cedar chest with very clean lines, in excellent condition.
