19th Century Australian Cedar Bookcase, internally fitted with 3 adjustable shelves to the top section and a single adjustable shelf to the lower section. Made for a government department, it is of full cedar construction and bears a Government Inventory Stamp for 1887 (see picture).
Good oversize cedar used in construction makes this a very strong piece. It is a very well made, fine quality 130 year old bookcase, with no splits or cracks.
