Very fine quality Gothic Style Oak Regulator Tubular Longcase Clock with movement by JJ Elliott of London, retailed by Prouds of Sydney, with a brass three train movement No. 10114 and the dial engraved with a gilt & silver chapter ring. The case made of oak and carved in the Gothic style with fret carved panels repeated to the front & sides of the hood, as well as the door and sides of the case.
With subsidiary dials for seconds, Chime/Silent and a choice of Westminster, Whittington or St Michaels chimes.
In good original condition and in very good running order. From the Carmelite Order near Sydney. The case has been very well carved - has to be seen to be appreciated! We include this piece in our Australian Antiques section due to its Australian retailer & history.
