Large Victorian Hallmarked Sterling Silver Ale Jug, made by Martin Hall & Co of Sheffield, England in 1880, inscribed "Manu Forti / from / Leopold & D'Alex Yates / to / Charles McKay Esq. M.D. / In grateful recognition of his / disinterested acts of kindness / Sydney 4 March 1882."

Dr Charles McKay was the owner of the Minchinbury Estate Winery in Western Sydney in the mid to late 1800s.

In superb condition, with gilt interior. Manu Forti being a family Coat of Arms meaning With Strong Hand.
