Mid 19th Century Australian Colonial Cedar & Rose Mahogany Tilt-top Breakfast Table, with a tri-form pedestal support, the surface veneered in rose mahogany, bearing the label of Andrew Lenehan at his 179 Castlereagh St, Sydney address.
The top surface (rose mahogany) was re-polished many years ago & now shows nice colour & patina. Original finish to skirt, pedestal & base, will seat 4-6. Black porcelain & brass castors are later replacements. Rose mahogany is an Australian timber - different to the South American mahogany used in 18th & 19th century UK & European furniture.
