19th Century Australian Cedar Chiffonier Foodsafe with a shaped drawer above two arched panel doors & zinc sides. Featuring a distinctive shaped & carved swan-neck backboard with a central crest.
This piece is illustrated on page 290 of “Australian Furniture Pictorial History and Dictionary 1788 – 1938” by Fahy & Simpson.
Finish revived with some old minor repairs, eucalypt supports turned at front, pine secondary timber.
