Early 20th Century Australian Cedar Bookcase with 3 adjustable shelves to upper section and adjustable shelf to base.
Exceptional quality. Bearing the impressed stamps "C of A" indicating that this piece was made for a government department in the very early days of the Commonwealth of Australia. Made to the same high standard of similar cedar bookcases from the 1880s that we have previously sold.
Original 1/4 inch thick glass to upper section. Panelled backboards matching top & bottom. Full cedar construction.
