An important mid 19th Century Australian Cedar Writing Bureau or Desk of exceptional quality. The pulling out of the writing surface simultaneously opens the upper section which features a huon pine fitted interior. The lower section features a kneehole with an arched panel door, flanked by two pedestals of three graduated drawers resting on a plinth base.
