Weymouth is in Dorset, UK where an old naval base was set up to receive Australian casualties from Gallipoli to convalesce. There is a memorial to the Anzacs there and many streets are named after Australian cities. Major General Reginald Browne served in the Australian Army from 1887-1921. His second wife at the time of WWI was Catherine Fraser Munro, a noted musician and amateur actress.
